Basic Directions

Basic Seaweed Facial Mask

Dump the seaweed powder into a small bowl, and add 1 tablespoon lukewarm water. Mix with a fork, adding up to another tablespoon of lukewarm water, as needed, to achieve a thick, paste-like consistency.

Add 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel, 1 teaspoon honey — or both — to the paste. Stir until well mixed. Add more water, if needed, to achieve the desired texture. You can also skip these ingredients entirely if you so desire, although the aloe helps heal any skin irritation you may have and the honey adds to the moisturizing effect of the mask and acts as a preservative.

Apply the seaweed mask to your face, leave in place for up to 20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry. Use this mask up to twice a week as part of your regular beauty routine.

Seaweed Body Wrap
Ingredients
4oz of Dried powdered seaweed
2 drops of Lavender essential oil
1 drop of Rosemary essential oil
2 tablespoons (45ml) of Almond Oil or light Olive Oil

Method
To make your own body wrap mix the seaweed powder with a small amount of warm water to produce a paste.
Mix the essential oils into the almond/olive oil, and then stir into the seaweed paste. If the paste is too thick add a little more water, if it’s too thin and runny add more seaweed powder until you have a good consistency to work with.
Apply the seaweed mix all over the body starting with your feet and working upwards. Cover yourself with plastic wrap or a foil thermal blanket (they aren’t usually very expensive and can be reused).
Lay down in a warm room for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing of in a warm shower.
